TO SPORTS INDEX Denver Professional Golf Information  The
PGA, Professional Golf Association, decends annually on Colorado at Castle
Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock. Castle Pines Golf Club was designed by
legendary golfer and course architect Jack Nicklaus. The tournament, which takes place every year at the end of July or beginning of August, is of a different scoring system than normal tournaments. The scoring system forces the golfers to attack the course, due to two point bonus for eagles. The tournament draws nearly all of golf's big names and is on an invitation only basis. Castle Pines is commonly referred to as Colorado's best course and can only be played by members when the tournament is not taking place.
